No audio at all
Devices: iOS
OS version (in Settings / General / About): 4.2 and higher
Remedy:
In 4.2, the screen orientation lock button became a mute switch. Please double-check to see that this is not set to mute (the side switch is located above the volume control and the orange dot should be hidden)
No audio at all; other apps may have audio (e.g. iPod, YouTube, Videos, etc.)
Devices: iOS
OS version (in Settings / General / About): 4.3.x and higher
Remedy:
In 4.3, the side switch can now be toggled between mute and screen orientation lock.
Please do the following:
Verify that the side switch is not showing the orange dot
Double-tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking bar at the bottom
Scroll the multi-tasking bar all the way to the left until you see the brightness and volume controls
On the very left, you will see either a round arrow indicating screen orientation lock or a speaker symbol
If the speaker icon is showing, ensure it is not muted (there is no line through it); if it is muted, tap to unmute

If there is still no audio, try this:
Go to Settings / General / Sounds
You should see a Ringer and Alerts section at the top
Slide the slider all the way to the left so the sound is at the lowest level, then slide it back to the right
Open the app again and listen for audio
Failing this, please try resetting your device (see the next tip).
If all of the above do not work, please reply to us with the following information: model #, OS version, whether you hear audio through headphones or not, and a list of some of the other apps that have audio.
